The Making of a Surgeon: Fighting Africa’s Hidden Crisis tells the story of Dr. Faustin Ntirenganya and the development of Rwanda’s first plastic surgery residency program, highlighting the power of partnership, surgical education and locally led efforts to expand access to care.

The film offers an intimate look at the people, patients and possibilities that emerge when talent and opportunity meet.

Following the screening, join us for a conversation exploring the story behind the film and the future of global surgical education. The conversation will be moderated by Amanda Gosman, MD, Co-Chair of SHARE and will feaure Dr. Ntirenganya.
