Panelists will debate the PROs/CONs of one vs two-staged breast reconstruction (expanders and flaps)

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Compare the indications, advantages, and limitations of single-stage versus two-stage breast reconstruction using expanders and flaps.

  2. Evaluate clinical outcomes, complication profiles, and patient-reported satisfaction associated with one and two-stage reconstructive approaches.

  3. Discuss patient, oncologic, and treatment related factors that influence selection of staged versus single-stage reconstruction.

  4. Apply evidence-based data and expert perspectives to optimize reconstructive planning and shared decision-making with patients.
