How A Craniofacial Fellowship Enhanced My Adult Based Practice Thursday, October 15 Thu, Oct 15 5:00-6:00 p.m. CDT
Professional opportunities in craniofacial surgery have traditionally been limited to pediatric based practices which may limit employment opportunities. This panel demonstrates how four surgeons at various stages of their careers have successfully incorporated their craniofacial expertise into adult based practices. The panelists will show how the insights gained from craniofacial training have elevated their thought process in assessing facial form in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery as well as empowered them with technical skills that may not be acquired without training in craniofacial surgery. It will highlight how craniofacial training provides comprehensive expertise across the full spectrum of facial surgery and prepares surgeons to manage both functional and aesthetic challenges. Speakers will share how this training pathway supports versatility, innovation, and leadership in modern practice.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
Describe how craniofacial fellowship training prepares surgeons for diverse careers in facial surgery.
Recognize the value of comprehensive facial training across aesthetic, reconstructive, trauma, and congenital domains.
Understand how craniofacial training fosters leadership and innovation in facial surgery.
