Advancing Regenerative Technologies: An Expert Panel on the Evolution of Surgical Matrices Saturday, October 17 Sat, Oct 17 12:30-1:30 p.m. CDT
Hosted by Integra LifeSciences
LUNCH SYMPOSIUM - This educational symposium will bring together Drs. Maxwell, Hammond, Movassaghi, and Roeder to review the historical development and evolution of surgical matrix technologies utilized in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Through a scientific discussion of biologic and synthetic matrices, the faculty will examine foundational biomaterial principles, material properties, and key developments in matrix design over time. The panel will provide context on how advances in biomaterials science have contributed to the evolving surgical matrix landscape and discuss the underlying mechanisms and considerations associated with these technologies. The session is intended to facilitate scientific exchange, foster evidence-based dialogue, and enhance understanding of the evolution of surgical matrix technologies within the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
