The Power of P4HB and Its Innovative Use in SMART Surgical Procedures Sat, Oct 17 3:30-4:30 p.m. CDT

Hosted by BD

This educational session will explore the science behind P4HB Scaffolding and it's innovative use in Sandwiching Muscle Acellular Reconstruction Technique (SMART) procedures, an emerging reconstructive approach that utilizes dual extracellular matrix biologic scaffolds to bridge acute muscle defects following trauma. Review of patient clinical experience will allow participants to examine the scientific rationale, surgical technique, clinical outcomes, and future investigational opportunities associated with biologic scaffold-assisted skeletal muscle reconstruction. Emphasis will be placed on patient selection, operative considerations, and the potential role of SMART as a stabilizing strategy for acute skeletal muscle injuries.
