ACEPS Panel: Redesigning Plastic Surgery Training: What Should the Graduate of 2036 Look Like? Friday, October 16 Fri, Oct 16 5:00-6:00 p.m. CDT
Plastic surgery continues to evolve rapidly, yet training structures remain largely time-based and tradition-driven. This panel will challenge current assumptions about what competencies, skills, and professional attributes plastic surgery graduates should possess in the next decade. Panelists will examine the balance between breadth and specialization, technical mastery and non-technical skills, and residency versus fellowship training. Audience discussion will focus on whether today’s training models are still fit for purpose.
