Optimizing Patient Safety in Body Contouring Thursday, October 15 Thu, Oct 15 1:30-3:00 p.m. CDT
This session provides a comprehensive review of evidence-informed strategies to optimize patient safety in aesthetic body contouring procedures. Faculty will examine perioperative considerations, including anticoagulation management, antibiotic stewardship, and nutritional optimization, as well as procedure-specific risk factors. Discussion will also address postoperative care practices such as early mobilization, compression therapy, and lymphatic management to reduce complications and enhance recovery. Through case-based insights and expert perspectives, participants will gain practical approaches to improving safety outcomes across a range of body contouring scenarios.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
Evaluate perioperative risk factors and patient optimization strategies relevant to aesthetic body contouring procedures.
Analyze best practices in anticoagulation management, antibiotic use, and nutritional optimization to enhance patient safety.
Apply evidence-informed postoperative care strategies, including mobilization and compression protocols, to reduce complications.
Integrate multidisciplinary approaches to improve safety outcomes in patients undergoing body contouring procedures.
