Seeing is Believing: Ultrasound in Reconstruction Saturday, October 17 Sat, Oct 17 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CDT
This session will be an interactive event that dives into the use of ultrasound in reconstructive plastic surgery. This hands-on panel is specifically designed to provide participants with practical experience in utilizing ultrasound for reconstructive applications including perforator mapping for surgical planning and flap design as well as HFUS for lymphatic imaging.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
Learn how to effectively incorporate ultrasound technology into reconstructive surgery by gaining insights into the principles of using ultrasounds for perforator selection, flap design, and lymphatic mapping for lymphovenous anastomosis.
Acquire proficiency in ultrasound-based techniques for identifying vascular structures, allowing for precise flap planning and enhancing the surgeon's ability to optimize surgical outcomes.
Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate challenges in reconstructive surgery through ultrasound-guided flap markings, providing a valuable tool for improved patient care.
Accreditation: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons® (ASPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
