Lip Reconstruction: Effective Strategies for Consistent Outcomes Sat, Oct 17 2:00-3:30 p.m. CDT

This session will address reconstructive approaches to lip defects with a focus on achieving consistent functional and aesthetic outcomes. Participants will review defect classification, reconstructive algorithms, and technique selection based on defect size and location. Emphasis will be placed on restoring oral competence, symmetry, and patient satisfaction. Case-based examples will illustrate key principles and technical refinements.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Classify lip defects to guide reconstructive strategy selection.

  2. Apply reconstructive techniques that optimize both functional and aesthetic outcomes.

  3. Evaluate postoperative results to refine surgical approaches and improve consistency.
