Lower Blepharoplasty Sat, Oct 17 8:00-9:30 a.m. CDT

This panel will review the principles and techniques of lower blepharoplasty with emphasis on individualized surgical planning, and natural aesthetic outcomes. The panel will discuss transconjunctival and transcutaneous approaches, fat preservation versus repositioning, and strategies to maintain eyelid support while minimizing complications.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify key lower eyelid anatomical structures relevant to surgery.

  2. Differentiate indications for transconjunctival versus transcutaneous approaches.

  3. Develop a patient-specific surgical plan based on aging patterns and volume changes.

  4. Implement techniques that optimize contour while preventing lid malposition and hollowing.
