The panel will provide a focused review of chin augmentation and neck contouring techniques aimed at optimizing lower facial balance and cervicomental definition. Emphasis is placed on aesthetic analysis, patient selection, implant-based versus fat grafting approaches, and adjunctive neck contouring procedures including submental liposuction, skin tightening and management of the platysma bands.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
Assess lower facial proportions and cervicomental angle to determine candidacy for chin augmentation and neck contouring.
Differentiate between implant-based and autologous fat augmentation techniques.
Formulate a comprehensive surgical plan incorporating submental liposuction and platysmal management when indicated.
Apply techniques that enhance jawline definition while minimizing complications and contour irregularities.
