The Algorithmic Aesthetic: Integrating AI into Modern Plastic Surgery Fri, Oct 16 2:00-3:30 p.m. CDT

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept but a tangible tool capable of reshaping the landscape of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. This session demystifies AI by focusing on practical, ethical, and immediately implementable applications that enhance efficiency, decision-making, and patient engagement. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how AI tools can be responsibly integrated into clinical workflows (consultation, imaging, documentation, marketing, and outcomes analysis) while maintaining patient trust, regulatory compliance, and physician oversight.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify current and emerging AI tools relevant to plastic surgery practice management and clinical care

  2. Describe practical use cases for AI in consultations, imaging analysis, documentation, and patient communication

  3. Evaluate the benefits and limitations of AI integration in surgical decision-making

  4. Recognize ethical, legal, and privacy considerations associated with AI use in clinical practice

  5. Develop a framework for safely and effectively incorporating AI into their own practices
