Panelists will discuss current strategies to achieve sensate breast reconstruction with autologous vs allograft as well as treatment of post-mastectomy pain.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Review current techniques for achieving sensate breast reconstruction using autologous nerve coaptation and allograft-based approaches.

  2. Compare the advantages, limitations, and outcomes of autologous versus allograft strategies for sensory restoration in breast reconstruction.

  3. Discuss mechanisms, evaluation, and management strategies for post-mastectomy pain syndrome in reconstructive patients.

  4. Integrate sensory restoration techniques and pain management strategies into comprehensive breast reconstruction planning to improve patient-reported outcomes.
