ASMS Guest Lecture: Interface Between Craniofacial, Aesthetic and Microsurgery Saturday, October 17 Sat, Oct 17 10:30-11:30 a.m. CDT
The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons (ASMS) is pleased to welcome Dr. Lucie Lessard, MD, CSPQ, CSPQ, FRCSC, FRCSC, FACS as this year’s invited guest lecturer.
Dr. Lucie Lessard is a double‑board‑certified plastic and craniofacial surgeon whose leadership has shaped reconstructive care across Quebec. Following Otolaryngology, Harvard Plastic Surgery (Boston Children’s/Brigham), and craniofacial fellowships in Paris (Paul Tessier) and Sweden, she led programs in microsurgery, replantation, pediatric craniofacial care, and complex cancer reconstruction at the MUHC.
A Royal College Award of Excellence recipient, she prioritizes function, symmetry, longevity, and team‑based pathways for complex deformities with precise, compassionate care.
Dr. Lessard’s talk, “The interface between Craniofacial Surgery and Microsurgery in Craniofacial Reconstruction”, will cover the topic from both a pediatric and adult trauma and oncologic perspective.
She will be joined on the podium by Dr. Gaby Doumit, Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGill University and the President-Elect for ASMS.
