Management of the Ruptured Breast Implant Saturday, October 17 Sat, Oct 17 5:00-6:00 p.m. CDT
This session will discuss best practices for managing messy ruptures, including new options such as Max VAC and clindamycin irrigation (“clinda sauce”). Capsule management will also be addressed: when to remove it, when to preserve it, and why.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
Develop an organized evidence based plan for management of rupture including interpreting radiology results
Implant surveillance and diagnosis of rupture with in office ultrasound
Surgical management of the rupture and timing, management of the capsule and resulting potential deformity.
