Salvaging Complications in Cosmetic Breast Surgery Fri, Oct 16 8:00-9:30 a.m. CDT

This session will review the evaluation and management of complications in aesthetic breast surgery, emphasizing accurate diagnosis, structured decision-making, and evidence-based surgical strategies for restoring optimal form and function. Faculty will present practical algorithms and technical approaches to address implant malposition, capsular problems, soft-tissue deficiencies, and wound-healing challenges, with a focus on preventing recurrence and improving long-term outcomes.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify common complications in aesthetic breast surgery and understand their underlying causes.

  2. Develop an organized, evidence-based plan for surgical correction tailored to the specific deformity.

  3. Apply appropriate operative techniques to safely and effectively manage complications and optimize outcomes.
