Body Contouring for the Male Patient Fri, Oct 10 2:00-3:30 p.m. CDT

The aesthetic goals and anatomical considerations of male patients seeking body contouring procedures require tailored approaches to achieve natural, masculine outcomes. This session will focus on the evolving landscape of male body contouring, including liposuction, abdominal etching, gynecomastia correction, and skin tightening techniques. Faculty will present case-based strategies, discuss patient selection criteria, and explore differences in surgical planning, fat distribution, and recovery protocols for male patients. Emphasis will be placed on aligning surgical outcomes with patient expectations while addressing safety, cultural trends, and practice growth opportunities.

Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Differentiate the anatomical and aesthetic considerations unique to male body contouring compared to female procedures.
  2. Select appropriate candidates for male body contouring procedures using comprehensive assessment and consultation techniques.
  3. Apply procedural modifications and technical strategies that optimize masculine contouring outcomes and minimize postoperative complications.
  4. Evaluate current trends, patient motivations, and communication strategies to enhance engagement with the male aesthetic patient demographic.
