Beyond the Knife: How AI is Rewriting Aesthetic Breast Surgery Sunday, October 12 Sun, Oct 12 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. CDT
As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly enters the aesthetic surgery landscape, surgeons are challenged to reconcile data-driven precision with human artistry. This session will critically examine the capabilities and limitations of AI in surgical planning, including breast simulation, implant selection, and predictive modeling. Faculty will analyze real-world use cases where AI complements—or potentially overrides—clinical judgment, with attention to ethical considerations in patient communication and consent. Attendees will explore how AI is reshaping aesthetic practice management and marketing, while developing strategies to integrate technology in ways that uphold patient trust, surgical creativity, and individualized care.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
- Compare AI-driven tools with traditional methods of surgical planning in aesthetic breast surgery.
- Critically appraise the accuracy and limitations of AI applications in breast simulation, implant sizing, and outcome prediction.
- Debate ethical considerations surrounding AI use in patient consultations and informed consent.
- Forecast future applications of AI in aesthetic practice management, including patient engagement and personalized treatment pathways.
- Formulate strategies to integrate AI into clinical workflows while preserving surgeon intuition and patient-centered artistry.
