How to Get Started with Robotic Surgery in Your Reconstructive Practice Sat, Sep 28 8:00-9:30 a.m. PDT

This session will provide practical suggestions for reconstructive surgeons seeking to incorporate the use of robotic surgery into their practice. Topics will include 1) most accessible cases to begin a robotic reconstructive surgery practice 2) robotic training options and process, proctoring, credentialing 3) financial sustainability of a robotic practice 4) engaging the referring and resecting surgeons.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Gain a foundational understanding of the principles of robotic surgery and its applications in reconstructive procedures, providing them with the knowledge needed to embark on incorporating this technology into their practice.
  2. learn practical steps for initiating robotic surgery in reconstructive practices, including considerations for equipment setup, training requirements, and integration into existing surgical workflows.
  3. Empower plastic surgeons with the necessary insights and resources to successfully implement robotic surgery, fostering improved precision and outcomes in reconstructive procedures.
