ADM Wrapping Session (Sim Lab) Sunday, October 18 Sun, Oct 18 5:00-6:00 p.m. CDT
This simulation lab will highlight key surgical steps for pre-pectoral single stage, and two-stage breast reconstruction using ADM coverage. Details regarding ADM selection and indications for use will be covered. Total versus sub-total ADM coverage will also be presented for both tissue expander and direct to implant-based breast reconstruction.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to:
- List the indications for use of ADM in implant and tissue expander-based pre-pectoral breast reconstruction.
- Identify the key surgical landmarks and steps involved in ADM use for pre-pectoral breast reconstruction.
- Discuss the potential pitfalls associated with ADM and pre-pectoral breast reconstruction.
- Discuss the salvage procedures using ADM in implant-based breast reconstruction.
