Techniques in abdominoplasty vary by surgeon. This course highlights leading surgeon's techniques and provides insight into various procedures and expected results. Patient assessment and management of complications will be discussed.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

Review the anatomical basis for the pre-operative markings. Discuss the extent of abdominal flap dissection. Discuss the management of the rectus diastasis 1. Discuss management of the umbilicus. 2. Learn new drainage techniques and discuss alternatives to drains. 3. Discuss the concomitant use of liposuction to enhance abdominoplasty results 4. Review common complications 4. Participate in interactive abdominoplasty case presentations
