Emerging Technology in Spinal, Sacrectomy, and Hemipelvectomy Reconstruction: Virtual Surgical Planning, Bioprosthetics, and Vascularized Bone for Optimized Outcomes Fri, Sep 20 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The course will be administered as a panel discussion delivered by experts in the field. Dr. Mericli will discuss spinal and sacrectomy reconstruction, Dr. Adelman will discuss hemipelvectomy, and Dr. Campbell will discuss soft tissue reconstruction of the posterior trunk.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize spinal defects amenable to vascularized bone grafting;
  2. Recognize sacrectomies and hemipelvectomies that could be improved with virtual surgical planning;
  3. Recognize the options for soft tissue reconstruction of the spine and posterior trunk;
  4. Understand the different types of internal hemipelvectomies and reconstructive requirements for each.
