Financial Management Session 1: Academics Sat, Sep 21 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

The practice of academic plastic surgery requires understanding of financial concerns related not just to the practice of medicine, but also to aspects of employment as a physician within a health system. Rapidly evolving financial environments continue to exist in health care, and academic physicians may seek to better understand the current environment and its pitfalls and opportunities. The panel will explore these concepts.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Describe current academic medical financial environments;
  2. Identify academic medical financial pitfalls;
  3. Identify academic medical financial opportunities.
