Pedicled Perforator Flaps: Getting Started, Staying Safe, and Planning Your Lifeboat Sunday, September 30 Sun, Sep 30 4:30-6:00 p.m.
This course gives an overview of perforator flaps, with emphasis on surgical technique. Attendees will learn how to choose a particular flap, techniques to make it safer, use of CT as well as fluorescent angiography. We will also discuss strategies to make these dissections safer and tips on how to get out of trouble.
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 1. Learn what constitutes a perforator flap 2. Learn tricks on surgical technique of raising a perforator flap 3. Learn techniques to avoid complications 4. Learn strategies to get out of trouble
