Facelift Lecture and Cadaver Lab Fri, Sep 28 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

This hands-on fresh cadaver facelift course will focus on the technical aspects of facelift surgery. Each of four well recognized techniques will first be demonstrated by video and narrated by a senior facelift surgeon. The video will then be followed by attendee dissection of the given procedure. Each cadaver table will be proctored by both a senior and a younger facelift surgeon.

The facelift techniques to be highlighted include:

  1. Lateral Smasectomy/ SMAS plication
  2. Minimal access cranial suspension ( MACS lift)
  3. Extended SMAS and Platysmaplasty
  4. Composite Facelift
  5. Fat Grafting.
  6. Browlift (time permitting) .

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the anatomic danger zones in facelift surgery.
  2. Choose the most appropriate procedure for a given patient.
  3. Identify the most common facelift procedures utilized today.
  4. Choose the correct procedure for the correct patient.
