Panelists will discuss best practices for establishing global health partnerships to optimize patient experiences and build sustainable relationships in foreign nations, including a focus on safety, education, collaboration, and helping to build sustainable health care systems in resource poor environments.
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Appreciate the evolving paradigms in delivery of healthcare in the global health setting
- Identify keys to reciprocal and mutually beneficial relationships between visiting and host surgeons
- Discuss holistic approaches to global health, including building educational programs, investing in local communities, supporting local healthcare infrastructure
