Review and contrast the common techniques for neck lifts and how to improve results.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Analyze various neck-lift approaches: platysmaplasty, cable suture suspension, transection or resection of the platysma, and other surgical techniques.
  2. Examine how to deal with or prevent unwanted sequelae such as cobra neck, recurrent laxity and bands, and residual jowls.
  3. Decide when to open the neck centrally and when to dissect the neck deeply.
  4. Comprehend approaches to fat reduction, submandibular gland resection, and other necklift adjuncts.
  5. Organize the steps of neck lift.
