The Rise of the Machine: Should We be Afraid of Robotics in Plastic Surgery? Thu, Oct 19

This on-demand program will provide a comprehensive overview of the use of robotics in plastic surgery, from initiating a robotics program; current state of the science including obstacles in establishing a plastic surgery robotics program and the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in robotics. The latest updates from the ASPS/PSF Robotic Task Force will also be shared with participants.

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize the benefits and barriers to implementing a plastic surgery robotics program.
  2. Define how AI used in combination with robotics in surgery.
  3. Explain what is next on the horizon for this field.
