ACAPS: Mentoring to Diversity: How we can diversify and empower the future leaders of plastic surgery Saturday, October 30 Sat, Oct 30 3:15-5:15 p.m. EDT
Mentoring is a vital component of the development of future leaders in plastic surgery. Mentoring has also emerged as a tool to recruit, retain, and foster diverse talent. Given that mentoring plays such an instrumental role in the career of a young plastic surgeon, it is imperative that we understand how to effectively establish mentorship programs or relationships that emphasize diversity and inclusion. It is also important that the person seeking mentorship knows how to identify those that can serve in this important role.
