Managed care insurers may be open to negotiating fair reimbursement for providers. We will explore approaches to evaluating the fairness of a fee schedule, approaching a carrier for potential changes and how to monitor on an ongoing basis insurance reimbursement.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the fairness of an insurance contract;
- Describe approach to entering negotiations and successfully inducing changes;
- How to determine outlier reimbursements and engage insurer;
- Long term maintenance of fee schedule.
