Negotiating Your Insurance Contract Sat, Oct 17 12:30-1:30 p.m. CST

Managed care insurers may be open to negotiating fair reimbursement for providers. We will explore approaches to evaluating the fairness of a fee schedule, approaching a carrier for potential changes and how to monitor on an ongoing basis insurance reimbursement.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Evaluate the fairness of an insurance contract;
  2. Describe approach to entering negotiations and successfully inducing changes;
  3. How to determine outlier reimbursements and engage insurer;
  4. Long term maintenance of fee schedule.
