Allows physician to make an informed decision on investing in non-surgical technologies. Will make technology selection an objective decision? The course will help ensure legal requirements are met when services are provided by a non-physician.
R. Andrew Guth - Will discuss the business case for medical spa operations; Karol Gutowski, MD - Will discuss Maintaining Plastic Surgeon professionalism. How plastic surgeons must differentiate their medical spas from medical spas run by non-plastic surgeons. Michael Byrd, JD - Will discuss who can legally do what in a medical spa.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to:
- Identify costs associated with a medical spa;
- Know objective evaluation criteria for new equipment, treatments and products;
- Understand legal requirements utilizing APP, RN, and estheticians in medical spas.
