Comprehensive OSA Management Sun, Sep 22 9:00-10:00 a.m.

This panel course will review the diagnosis and management obstructive sleep apnea in the skeletally mature patient population. The course will focus on indications for surgical intervention including orthognathic surgery (Lefort I, BSSO, genio), frontofacial surgery (Lefort III, Lefort III/I), mandibular distraction, and soft tissue interventions such as UPPP and hypoglossal nerve stimulation.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. List the relative benefits and drawbacks for surgical management of OSA in the adult population
  2. Discuss the role of polysomnography in evaluating OSA
  3. Outline the relative indications for differing types of surgical intervention
