Facial Trauma Update Saturday, September 21 Sat, Sep 21 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Patients presenting with facial trauma pose unique challenges to a plastic surgeon. The panel will discuss pre-operative work-up, operative approaches, fixation principles and complications for patients treated operatively for facial trauma. The panelists will present soft tissue and bony facial trauma treatment. The audience will hear from national experts regarding their work-up, techniques, pearls and risks and rewards related to patients presenting with facial trauma.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to:
- The learner will identify proper pre-operative work-up for patients presenting with facial trauma.
- The learner will discuss operative approaches for patients with facial trauma.
- The learner will outline treatment options (open vs closed treatment, sequencing of operative treatment) for patients presenting with facial trauma.
- The learner will identify complications and techniques to avoid complications for patients treated for facial trauma.
