Goals to discuss maximizing aesthetics in the explant patient. This program will discuss determining if mastopexy can be performed safely at the time of explant, which pedicle and incisions to use, and how to manage patients’ expectations.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to:
- Discuss options for mastopexy at the time of explant and manage patients’ expectations;
- Identify the appropriate pedicle to use at the time of explant, especially regarding previous surgeries and incisions;
- Discuss the advantages of staged vs immediate mastopexy at the time of explant;
- Identify techniques to maximize the shape of an explanted breast;
- List the circumstances.
