Shared decision-making is now being applied to many medical and surgical specialties to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. It is not widely discussed or practiced in plastic surgery. It has significant applicability to breast reconstruction. A crash course in Shared Decision-Making – what it is, how it works, and how it can grow your practice and improve your patients’ outcomes.
