Organized by the ASPS Young Plastic Surgeons Steering Committee.
This day-long program provides medical students the opportunity to learn about the plastic surgery specialty directly from residents, program directors, and other field leaders. Medical students will:
- gain practical knowledge about the different types of training program pathways;
- learn what to ask when choosing a training program;
- gain an inside look at life as a plastic surgery resident;
- review plastic surgery practice types; and
- have the chance to get answers to all of your questions about getting started in a career as a plastic surgeon.
A copy of student I.D. or letter from medical school registrar is required with registration.

All registered attendees are encouraged to join ASPS President Dr. Robert X. Murphy, Jr., The PSF President Dr. Kevin Chung, and ASMS President Dr. Warren Schubert for a new Opening Ceremonies to kick off Plastic Surgery The Meeting.
Opening Ceremonies will begin with an educational session showcasing the breadth of the specialty and featuring patient markings, technique videos and interactive discussions focused on cleft lip, breast reconstruction, breast reduction, abdominoplasty and the anterolateral thigh flap.
Recognition of the Fellows of the Maliniac Circle and honored guests and awardees will follow remarks from the ASPS, PSF and ASMS presidents. Opening Ceremonies will culminate in the Patients of Courage recognition ceremony. Now in its 11th year, this program recognizes inspirational and exemplary reconstructive plastic surgery patients, nominated by ASPS Member Surgeons, whose lives were changed or saved by plastic surgery and have been paying the favor forward to others in need.

The fourth annual Residents Bowl will test residents’ knowledge against their counterparts from programs across the country and around the globe. Residents can sign up as a full team of two to four members, or individually to be placed on a team at random for this single elimination tournament.
