Plastic Surgery The Meeting brings together the best and the brightest surgeons in the specialty, poised to share their expertise with colleagues who arrive from nearly 50 countries around the globe. It is the premier educational and networking event of the year, for both domestic and international plastic surgeons.
The conference is intended for plastic surgeons, trainees and other allied health professionals interested in translating their expanding knowledge into practice, improving patient care and outcomes.
Now in its 88th year, Plastic Surgery The Meeting has provided generations of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons the education they need to grow all aspects of their surgical career and practice.
About the American Society Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is the largest plastic surgery specialty organization in the world. Founded in 1931, the Society is composed of more than 7,000 physician members and represents more than 94% of all board-certified plastic surgeons in the United States who perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
The mission of ASPS is to advance quality care to plastic surgery patients by encouraging high standards of training, ethics, physician practice and research in plastic surgery. The Society is a strong advocate for patient safety, and requires its members to operate in accredited surgical facilities that have passed rigorous external review of equipment and staffing.
About The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF)
Founded in 1948, The Plastic Surgery Foundation’s (The PSF) mission is to improve the quality of patient care through research and development. The Foundation fosters the advancement of medical discovery and patient safety by developing and supporting research through a variety of granting programs, clinical trials networks, training programs and forums that encourage innovation in medical devices and techniques.
The PSF also fosters the clinical exposure of plastic surgeons by sponsoring Visiting Professors and the International Scholars. In additon, the PSF sponsors surgeons who volunteer abroad to help the impoverished and foster international outreach through Volunteers in Plastic Surgery.
The PSF helps validate and advance care in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
About the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons (ASMS)
The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons is the oldest American organization representing maxillofacial surgeons who are devoted to improving and promoting the highest levels of patient care. Maxillofacial and Craniofacial surgeons specialize in bone and soft tissue reconstruction and enhancement of the face.
The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons represents the finest in plastic surgery. Members are a collegial group of more than 500 surgeons who share a keen interest in surgery of the face and skull. While modest in size, its membership is fortunate to include many of the leaders in plastic surgery.
Members of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons are surgeons of high moral and ethical standing and professional attainment, who hold both the MD and DDS or DMD degrees, or only the MD degree.
